” But when I see the way that mankind loves… You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful “

Plot Synopsis *** SPOILER WARNINGS ***

The story beginds in the countrytown of WALL, named for the wall of bricks that supposedly defines the boundary between the mortal and another world (the land of Stormhold Faerie) ruled by the Stormhold line. One summers’ night, a young man Dunstan Thorne (Nathaniel Parker) looks around his life in Wall and finds it wanting. Fueled by curiosity, he makes a trip in secret over the wall and finds, to his disbelief that the stories about the existance of a parallel universe was true. Wandering about Faerie, he comes across a princess Una (Kate Magowan) imprisoned by a witch in a gypsy caravan. Upon first sight they are strangely attracted to one another, and that night they make love. Dunstan returns home with a glass flower from Una, his lust for adventure satiated. Never would he expect that 9 months later he would receive a baby at his doorstep, named Tristan Thorne (Charlie Cox).

x men 3

May 30, 2006 · Leave a Comment

watched x men 3 today with mike, gordo, howie and jason. (:

it was.. satisfying because it sorta concluded the storyline i guess. but the directing and the plot wasn’t as good as i expected.

**spoilers**

firstly, i think the angel boy had a really underrated role. he should’ve had a bigger part in x men 3 rather than just saving his father. ok i guess it’s significant because his father’s trying to “cure” his mutation and he ends up saving his father, symbolism and all that blah blah blah. but still.

i always knew that xavier would eventually die but i think they overplayed the whole evil jean grey thing. we know she’s a scary come to life alter ego of herself and she’s scarily powerful. but i can’t believe she killed cyclops. and xavier. they should have made her uglier.

rogue. what the heck is wrong with the producer ! rogue had so much potential in the 2nd movie i would’ve really liked her to have been abit more .. active.. in this one. instead she signs up to get ‘treated’ and loses her mutant powers to blend in and be able to have contact with other people. and she sees her boyfriend bobby go ice skating/hugging/holding some other chick’s hand and gets jealous that she can’t have normal physical contact. after she loses her powers (i was hoping she changed her mind halfway and somehow managed to suck the powers of the evil jean grey but i guess that didn’t happen), she comes back, touches bobby, and all is happy again? no mention of him ice skating with some other girl thats young enough to be his younger sister.

ohwell. frankly i think the 2nd and 1st movie was so much greater than this one. but watch it anyway i guess. (: just for the sense of ‘completeness’.
